The inorganic unit is involved in trace metal and ionic analyses of different matrices which could range from air filters, soil, to dust etc. The trace metal analyses are usually digested in acid with state of the art microwave oven digestion system and subsequently analyzed by Inductively Coupled Spectrometer or Mass Spectrometer depending on the concentration of contaminations presented in the sample. The aqueous ionic species is usually extracted with eluent and then injected into Ion Chromatographic instrument for ionic separations. The analyses include anions and cations.
