Pertussis Prevention

The Immunization Branch is launching a campaign to promote the use of the new Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis) vaccine in adults and health care workers. Tdap immunization in adults and health care workers will not only protect them from tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis, but it will also limit the spread of disease to infants and patients that who may be at a greater risk for more life-threatening complications.
