The Guidelines Manual will help Faith Project Program Managers comply with Network guidelines in critical programmatic areas such as Progress Reporting, Success Stories, Scope of Work Revisions, Subcontracts and Consultant Requirements, USDA Guidance - Allowable and Unallowable Costs, Educational and Media Materials and Recipe Guidelines, and SNAP-Ed Recipients Guidelines.

The Network for a Healthy California—African American Campaign empowers African American adult women (ages 18-54) and their families to consume the recommended amounts of fruits and vegetables and get the recommended levels of physical activity every day at least 30 minutes for adults and 60 minutes for children and teens. Currently, the African American Campaign operates in 6 of the 11 Regions that comprise the Network for a Healthy California.  Network contractors in these Regions reach African Americans through faith organizations, supermarkets, direct health service providers, and a wide variety of community-based organizations. Public relations activities, nutrition education and consumer empowerment initiatives, and public and private partnerships support interventions to make the healthier choices the easier choices for African American families.
