- The American Academy of HIV Medicine has announced that recertifying and eligible first-time physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and pharmacists may apply for 2011 HIV Credentialing. (posted June 1, 2011)
"Cardiovascular Disease and HIV Series" (PDF)
- The American Heart Association and the Texas/Oklahoma AIDS Education and Training Center present this collaborative series for cardiologists, endocrinologists, infectious disease practitioners, HIV providers, internal medicine practitioners, family practitioners, nurses, and other primary care physicians. Free Web-Based Training on STDs for Non-Clinicians offerred by the California STD/HIV Prevention Training Center (PDF)
- This online course has 7 interactive modules covering topics such as the most common STDs, transmission, consequences, epidemiological data, the connection between HIV and other STDs, information on specific populations at higher risk, STD prevention and how to apply STD facts to interactions with students and clients to encourage more protective behaviors and healthier decisionmaking. The course takes approximately 3 hours to complete and free continuing education credits (and $15 for 3 CHES credits) are available upon completion. (posted February 8, 2010)
