The California Department of Public Health, Disabilities Advisory Committee (CDPH-DAC), advises the Director on matters pertaining to equal employment opportunities and reasonable accommodation issues for department employees with disabilities.
Why is the DAC’s work important?
Our Director shares the goals and concerns of her employees with disabilities and those affected by disabilities. The CDPH-DAC, along with the Department’s Office of Civil Rights (OCR), works with the Director on many important disabilities related issues. Through this collaborative effort , many disabled employees are able to offer their talents and expertise to the State of California as outlined in Executive Order S-6-04, see the CDPH Americans with Disabilities Act Communications Compliance Policy (PDF) .
