MICRS Reporting Manual
The MICRS Reporting Manual gives specific reporting instructions and data definitions used by the counties to report data to the State on all medical services that they either paid for or provided. - UCLA Center for Health Policy Research-Information on California's Medically Uninsured Population: Conducts research on health policy issues. Provides policy analysis, data and training as a public service to policy makers and community leaders.
- Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD): Provides county indigent data for individual acute care hospitals plus counties' sum total of indigent care provided in acute care hospitals.
- Managed Risk Medical Insurance Board (MRMIB), Healthy Families Program (HFP) and Access for Infants and Mothers (AIM): MRMIB administers two programs; AIM, a program that provides low cost health coverage to moderate income pregnant women and their infants and; HFP that provides low cost health, dental and vision care coverage for children in low wage families.
- California Department of Health Care Services, Medical Care Statistics: Contains data and publications regarding California's population whose health care coverage is paid for by the State of California and the federal government.
- California Department of Public Health, Center for Health Statistics: This site contains a variety of California health related and vital statistics data.
- California Department of Finance: This is a link to pages containing census, demographic and population data.
- California County Web Pages: Lists California counties' official web pages except for some of the sparsely populated counties. Currently, Orange County's web pages contain the most extensive information regarding their medically indigent program.
- County Medical Services Program (CMSP): Provides health coverage for indigent adults living in rural California counties.
- University of California at Berkeley Public Health: Resources on the Internet for public health.
- California Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems (CAPH): Members include public hospitals that provide health care regardless of a person's ability to pay.
- Health Insurance Policy Program (HIPP): A grant, under the direction of Helen Schauffler, Ph.D., designed to promote policy development that increases access to health insurance for all Californians.
