In response to the Fukushima nuclear power plant incident, RHB increased its routine air monitoring program. The results of that monitoring are posted below.

In addition to increasing the monitoring frequency, the RHB has joined Alaska, Washington and Oregon in improving monitoring efforts in coordination with the federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
