School Health Interventions

Learning comes easier to children and youth who are healthy. Hunger, high-fat sugary foods, and inadequate physical activity can lead to poor attendance, distraction in the classroom, and other problems that impair academic success.

Schools can play a pivotal role in improving student wellness by promoting physical activity and the consumption of fruit, vegetables, and healthy beverages.

The following archive of school health intervention resources can assist communities in developing and implementing systematic policies that foster environments where students are healthy and ready to learn.
