Title V FFY 2011-2012 Annual Report (Abridged version) for Public Input

Each year, the Maternal Child and Adolescent Program of the Department of Public Health and the Children’s Medical Services Branch of the Department of Health Care Services prepare an extensive report and application in compliance with Title V of the Social Security Act. This draft document is an abbreviated and user-friendly version of a lengthy document. This document presents information about child, adolescent and maternal health, including children with special health care needs in the state. It also provides data on health performance measures and indicators.

    This document is the final version of California’s FFY 2010-2011 Title V Block Grant Application & Progress Report.  The Maternal Child and Adolescent Health Program (MCAH) and the Children’s Medical Services (CMS) Branch of the Department of Health Care Services coordinate the Title V Block Grant Program in California. Title V serves pregnant women, mothers, infants, children, including children with special health care needs (CSHCN), adolescents and their families.

  • 2011-2015 Needs Assessment

    As a recipient of the federal Title V Maternal and Child Health Block Grant, California is required to complete a statewide needs assessment every five years, which was completed on July 15, 2010.  This needs assessment resulted in the identification of priorities for the maternal, child and adolescent health population over the next five years.
