Regional Networks for a Healthy California Request for Applications (RFA)

The Network for a Healthy California is pleased to announce this funding opportunity for agencies and organizations who wish to actively participate in the effort to improve California’s nutrition, physical activity, food security, and obesity prevention environment on behalf of Food Stamp Nutrition Education (FSNE) eligible residents by: providing training, coordination and communications support to all Network-funded projects and other stakeholders in the region, facilitating and supporting a Regional Collaborative committed to empowering the FSNE-eligible audience to advocate for environmental change, and implementing the targeted fruit, vegetable and physical activity campaigns and programs.

While each of the eleven Regional Networks services its Network region in the manner described above, total population densities of FNSE-eligible residents, as well as variances in audience demographics dictate that the scope and services provided be tailored to each region. For this reason the scope of work for each region varies slightly.
