Breastfeeding Program

The Breastfeeding Program promotes and supports public health and health care efforts to make breastfeeding the normal method of infant feeding in California for at least the first year of life in order to provide proven benefits to the mother, infant, and society.  Funding is provided by the Federal Title V Maternal and Child Health Block Grant, Federal Title XIX Medicaid Funds, and State General Funds.
