Welcome to the State of California

Fetal Death Statistics

This section of the website provides quick access to individual Fetal Death data tables. The Office of Health Information and Research (OHIR) produces a variety of data tables, either as part of larger reports or as stand alone tables. These tables provide data on a variety of topics, including births, deaths (including fetal and infant deaths), and population demographics. Data are presented in a variety of forms (e.g., counts, rates, ratios, percent distributions), for different geographic levels (nation, state, county, city health department, ZIP code), and time periods (e.g., annual, multi-year trends).

Only recently-published Fetal Death data tables are posted here. Historical tables and reports may be found via the Publications & Forms tab or on the Reports Section of the California Department of Health Services website.  They will be moved to this website soon.

Displayed below is the list of current Fetal Death data tables based on 2005 California Fetal Death Certificate information.
