Improved Perinatal Outcomes Data Reports (IPODR)
MO-07-0024 IPODR
Most data sources are limited to countywide measures and cannot be used for small area analyses, which are needed to respond to changing patterns of health status, assess current service performance, and meet program planning requirements. IPODR provides perinatal risk and outcome data related to select national Healthy People 2010 Objectives. Summary zip code level health status indicators are summarized and presented as maps, charts and tables for each county in the California County Perinatal Reports (CCPR). Another component includes maintaining a dynamic module where web visitors can interface with a query builder and create custom tabulations and graphical outputs of select perinatal health indicators.
Goals
- Intended to provide information on which to base health planning and allocation decisions, and evaluation of these decisions.
- Provide data for tracking perinatal morbidities and mortality.
- Provide a tool to counties to monitor their progress toward the Healthy People 2010 Objectives.
