True Colors® is an informal and fun way to understand and appreciate basic human diversity. This training helps us recognize differences and similarities in communication styles, behaviors, and preferences and how to use this information to solve conflicts, increase respect, and bring out the best in everyone. This process can result in more productive relationships and strong teams. There are four distinct styles; and although individuals have personalities comprised of all four, almose everyone has a dominant style that is reflected in their behavior. Small groups of less than 25 people attending this training may not have staff representing all four styles. For that reason, small groups are encouraged to partner with others or attend a regional training.
This training is primarily being offered on a quarterly basis at various Regional Training Centers throughout the state. For dates, locations and registration information click on the Regional Training Registration Form. If the scheduled regional trainings do not meet your agency’s preference, please click on the Individual/Combined Local Agency Training Request Form for details on how to request an individualized training for your agency.
