Promoting Healthy Weight Among Women of Reproductive Age Report, 2006
The Association of Maternal & Child Health Programs and City MatCH formed a Women’s Health Partnership to build state and local capacity to promote safe motherhood and enhance women’s health throughout the lifecourse. This paper outlines factors that influence healthy weight, the impact of overweight and obesity on perinatal outcomes, and lists possible community-based prevention strategies.
Promoting a Healthy Weight in Women of Reproductive Age: Experiences & Lessons Learned from Eight State/Local Health Department Teams, 2008
This report highlights the different interventions which were implemented in the above mentioned Women’s Health Partnership. Sonoma and Los Angeles Counties in collaboration with the California Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health (MCAH) Division were part of this effort.
