Early Childhood Education - Local Health Department Orientation

Description:  This webinar will provide Local Health Departments with an overview of:

  1. The Early Childhood scope of work components
  2. Trainings available based on the Best Practices for Child Care Nutrition and Physical Activity Environments Handbook -  A Guide for Self-Assessment and Policy Development
  3. Network-approved nutrition education materials
  4. One to two nutrition-related projects involving Local Health Departments and the early childhood community

Description:  Hands on skill building training where LHD’s are trained using an on-line GIS map viewer to complete a series of instruments/worksheets to compile and interpret mapping data.

GIS Viewer Training  

WhenThurs – April 25th from 9AM-10:45AM 

Where:  Webinar 

Description:  Our GIS Team will be having our online training to use the Network GIS Viewer (http://www.cnngis.org/). This Network for a Healthy California mapping application is an interactive, internet-based Geographic Information System (GIS) that allows users to view and use online mapping, including determining eligible census tracts.  In less than two hours, you’ll learn the basics, and gain a tool that will expand your access to current and comprehensive data. It is recommended that all LHDs to take this training.
