Alyssa Ghirardelli is a Research Scientist with the Network for a Healthy California (Network), California Department of Public Health and is lead researcher for Communities of Excellence in Nutrition, Physical Activity and Obesity Prevention (CX3). She also serves as Media and Communications Research Liaison using evidence-based theory to inform development and evaluation of statewide media campaigns. She has conducted statewide surveillance as the lead coordinator for the California Teen Eating, Exercise and Nutrition Survey (CalTEENS), and provides evaluation guidance to several California Regional Nutrition Networks. Her work has also included projects with the State of North Carolina Physical Activity and Nutrition Branch, the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and UNC-Chapel Hill Departments of Nutrition, Epidemiology, Health Behavior Health Education, Medicine, and Dental Ecology. While in the Department of Nutrition at UNC, she worked in the Communications, Health Applications, and Interventions (CHAI) Core developing video for internet and media based interventions. She has served on the local level as a WIC Program Manager in rural western North Carolina.
Lynn Fuhrman is a Technical Assistance Specialist with the Network for a Healthy California (Network), California Department of Public Health. She provides guidance to local health department staff implementing Communities of Excellence in Nutrition, Physical Activity and Obesity Prevention (CX3) – specifically on quality control methods with interactive training support. Ms. Fuhrman manages data entry, checking and transfer. She provides consultation on web-based technologies and is the CX3 website administrator. Her background includes expertise in information technology and communications through local media channels.
Chris Bilbrey is a Program Manager, and the CX3 Liaison for the Network for a Healthy California, California Department of Public Health Community Development Team. She has over 12 years of experience in community nutrition education, and wellness program coordination. Ms. Bilbrey is committed to promoting continuous communication with Network Contractors and Partners, and investing ongoing support for the development and implementation of strategic, community-focused action plans.
