Childhood Injury Prevention Program
MO-07-0028 CIPP
Injuries are the leading cause of death for children and adolescents 1-21 years of age. The CDPH, MCAH Program works to incorporate injury prevention interventions into local programs and services to enhance the safety of California’s children. Funding is provided by Federal Title V MCH Block Grant Funds.
Local Health Jurisdictions are encouraged to enroll to receive SafetyLit newsletters for recent research about injury prevention. Contact David Lawrence, Center for Injury Prevention, Policy and Practice Graduate School of Public Health San Diego State University, for technical and programmatic assistance in establishing and maintaining Childhood Injury Prevention Programs.
