Core Surveillance (reported HIV/AIDS cases)

The core HIV/AIDS surveillance system, maintained by CDPH/OA, in collaboration with local health jurisdictions and applying guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), allows California to summarize cases reported.  Links on this page provide an overview of the case surveillance process and mechanisms through which interested parties can request summary data from the core surveillance system.  Additionally, links on this page include routine and ad hoc reports produced by CDPH/OA for California-wide data, as well as those produced by the CDC, summarizing national HIV/AIDS case surveillance.

How do I request additional surveillance data?

Due to limited staff resources, OA is currently only able to respond to surveillance data requests related to funding opportunities or grant requirements. We apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. (May 30, 2014)
