Addressing Health Disparities Related to HIV/AIDS

In a focused effort to reduce HIV/AIDS-related health disparities in California, the Office of AIDS (OA) has developed a systematic approach to identify and reduce disparities in HIV/AIDS detection, prevention and care/treatment. This effort, led by OA’s Health Disparities Steering Committee and guided, in part, by OA’s Health Disparities Framework (PDF), systematically identifies highly impacted populations and develops time-limited, task-specific projects to address their needs.
