Increasing Exclusive Breastfeeding Rates in California Hospitals: A Workshop for Hospital Administrators and Key Decision Makers

MO-11-0033 BFP

California Health and Safety Code Section 1257.9 (SB 22) charged the California Department of Public Health with recommending training for administrators at maternity care hospitals that have exclusive breastfeeding rates in the lowest 25 percent.

This workshop was developed by Women Infant and Children (WIC) Program to assist hospitals in implementing policies and practice recommendations that support exclusive breastfeeding.  Although initially intended for low-performing hospitals, any hospital may find this workshop useful.
